Below are the Nasdaq 100 companies that are within 10% of their respective 52-week lows. Stocks that appear on our watch lists are not recommendations to buy. Ideally, a stock that is purchased from this list is done after a considerable decline in the price and rigorous due diligence.

Watch List Summary

F5 Networks (FFIV) tops our watch list this week.  Based on prior price action, we believe that FFIV will give us everything we need to know about whether the stock is going fairly soon.  If FFIV falls below the August 2011 low, then we should easily achieve the $50 to $46 level.

According to Dow Theory, the next downside targets after $46.58 is $32.67.  FFIV would be up for consideration at or below $46.58.

Apple (AAPL) has come back on to our watch list after rising from the $385 low set in April 2013.  As we indicated in our May 15th article titled “Technical Failure for Apple?,” the inability of AAPL to exceed $463 and subsequently fall below $420 could be the clearest indication that the stock is under wide distribution or selling by institutions.  The lone remaining downside target is $385.  Falling below such a level will be a psychological breaking point for investors and will confirm for many any negative news about the company whether accurate or not.

Intuit (INTU) remains of interest to us.   However, we’re still considering the prospects INTU declining below $51.
